Our Founder

Lisa Moody, PAC, DFAAPA, is the owner of Skinwerx MedSpa. Raised in Fort Worth, she did her undergraduate work at The University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Business. She worked throughout her college career instructing Group Fitness classes, Personal Training, and had multiple Fitness Certifications. After graduating, she began work on her Master’s of Biology until she was accepted into Physician Assistant school in 1997. Lisa was the first person to be accepted into the inaugural class of PA students at The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) at Fort Worth.There were 11 original students and most classes were shared with the DO Program.

After graduating she did neurosurgery for a short time before joining Dr. Paul Saperstein and Damon Schranz, DO, at UNTHSC Seminary Family and Internal Medicine Clinic. There she was on faculty at UNTHSC and educated and precepted a multitude of PA and DO students for 8 years. She gained many skills while working in that setting. She then became interested in aesthetic medicine opening up Cozmederm in 2005, specializing in Botox, Juvederm and Obagi. Lisa met a dermatologist at an injector conference a few years later. This dermatologist was in need of someone to help her operate her newly opened dermatology practice while on maternity leave.

Lisa joined that practice, was given a few months to gain experience and knowledge to take the reins, and thus allowed the physician to extend her family. Lisa worked at Mansfield/United Dermatology for 13 years. Lisa is also a trainer for Galderma under the Galderma Aesthetic Instructor Network.

(GAIN). GAIN educates doctors and other healthcare practitioners on safe and correct techniques of aesthetic injecting. While at United Dermatology, she was able to diagnose and treat a multitude of skin cancers, and other dermatological conditions. Lisa Moody is now under the supervision of Jesse Smith, MD and has gained the expertise and ability to take care of all your cosmetic and medical dermatological needs.
